This is Hearthstone Tavern Role Play Podcast #10!

We took an extended hiatus for the holidays but we are back and look forward to continuing on into the year with topics on Role Play, Lore, authors, books, games, art and more.

In Epsiode 10, we discuss what we have been doing during and after the holidays; our role-playing over these weeks, how we are faring with the random dungeon generator now that everyone has had time to utilize it, we talk about the Avatar and Warcraft movies, the cool new wow magazine, and we end our discussions with our speculations and wishes for the new expansion and future of WoW.

Note: You can catch the cast Episode 010 segments featuring Character Development, RP Made Simple, and Lore in our new release “Hearthstone Tavern Presents” available separately later this week.

This week’s drama is written and performed by Harper, and now onto the drama…

The inside states that they want to attempt to show the world, not just how to play. Apparently the magazine will feature lore, strategies from expert players, as well as insight from the development team. You can only get the magazine by subscription, and there are no ads. They say this is more like a “coffee table” book.

The first issue features contacting players who had the most collected “pets” and asked them why they did it. First feature is also, “Siege of IceCrown Citadel,” along with Sylvannas vs. Arthas: A Woman Scorned.” They also present a segment where they look at the game from the past through the present with some often humorous anecdotes from players and designers alike.

  1. Aideyn Aideyn says:

Great podcast, like usual! I can’t wait till the next segment comes out. Will you guys add a little discussion about how the Lich King dies in there? I not sure I’ll ever get to see it myself but I’d really like to know!

  2. Aideyn Aideyn says:

PS. Are any of you getting the plushies that were just announced? The fact that they come with in-game codes means that I’m PSYCHED. That’ll bring my total up to 110 pets.

  3. Anansi Anansi says:

*chuckle* Told my wife about the plushies in a voicemail. See what she thinks of ‘em.

  4. Aideyn Aideyn says:

Lich King is dead on Earthen Ring, grats to Dissonance. The fountain in the middle of Dalaran has an AWESOME cinematic. Bolvar looks pretty bad ass.

  5. Bricu Bricu says:

Back to the point regarding Gilneas and the steam-punky feel, I would venture to guess that at the very least, Stormwind gets a “Gas Light” quarter.
