WoW ROUNDTABLE – WRITING CONTEST
Blizzard had held a global writing contest. It started at the end of March and the winners were announced on May 22. While no one in the current cast won or made runner up, we want to sincerely congratulate all the winners who took the time to submit their Word-Smithing! We look forward to hearing and reading the works of these authors.

The winner was Sarah Pine who also won an original crafted Frostmourne sword. Congrats Sarah! Information here: Blizzard Global Writing Contest. The Hearthstone Tavern cast discusses the possible reasons the contest was publicly downplayed and what to remember if you want to enter one of Blizzard’s writing contests in the future.

WOW ROUNDTABLE – WARCRAFT COMICS
Warcraft has been publishing a World of Warcraft Comic in which some of the major lore changes and story lines are taking place in them before making it into the game. The Hearthstone Tavern cast discusses the comics, the story and art, as well as what the changes in lore and story lines may mean to your character.

LORE LIBRARY with Richard “Tharion Greyseer”
Richard, blog writer for Lorecrafted,  discusses the half orc assassin Garona Halforcen and the interesting developments of her story which take place inside the World of Warcraft Comics.

ROUNDTABLE – RP – PART I
There was SO much to talk about here, that it will take us TWO episodes to get them out! (Stay tuned for Episode 003).

The Hearthstone Tavern cast begins this discussion with answering a common question about RP… Do you need to be a writer to be a role-player? The cast continues to talk about how to develop a brief character description to use in an RP mod inside the game.

LISTENER QUESTIONS – Comments
The cast answers some listener questions and comments.

RP MADE SIMPLE with Brent “Sullivan”
Brent discusses common questions new role-players have about what is IC and OOC, and some other information about the RP server that may be confusing for anyone just starting out. rpmadesimple.org!

THE LITTLE THINGS with Michael “Anansi”

  1. Aideyn Aideyn says:

=D I couldn’t wait for the character development tips that you mentioned would be included in this podcast, and I was definitely not disappointed and find myself in the same situation yet again!

also, I can’t resist a shoutout <3 to the kitten Voodoo. I’m looking forward to podcast #3! Good job again all!

  2. Ogerin Ogerin says:

Guess I’m obliged to put something in my FlagRSP thingy now ;p
Good job again, can’t wait until next month, should you be sticking to the mentioned schedule

  3. Hehehe, I feel special… I got mentioned!

Sullivan: “One of my friends, Gospel, has a really good quote in hers…”

And, really, having that little “If you want to know more…” blurb in my FlagRSP sparks a lot more role-play than people give it credit for. Yet, the easiest way to find role-play is, like Kormok says near the end of the podcast, to just BE role-playing. I get approached by any number of people just because I’m constantly in-character.

So, if you’re wanting to get involved in role-play, walk around and just BE in-character, interact with NPC’s or other things in the environment. Someone will eventually pick up on that and interact with you. :)
